The bar/brasserie area is full of character with exposed beams and crackling fires. There is a more formal atmosphere is the restaurant but is has a light and airy fell. All food is prepared from fresh using locally sourced ingredients. The menu is based on British food with a twist and the restaurant menu has wider and diverse range of dishes.

Bar/Brasserie Supervisor Job Description

Fantastic opportunity for a customer focussed Bar/Brasserie Supervisor to join the management team of this accolade Gastro pub with rooms. You will be responsible for the day to day running of the Bar/Brasserie. It is essential that you can demonstrate your sales experience in the bar. This can be through your buying stock control and up selling skills. A record of strong and upwards GP is essential. Sting communications skills are of paramount importance and you must enjoy interacting with guests and staff. You will also be responsible for staff recruitment, training and retention. This is a role where you will be encouraged to develop your skills and take on more responsibility and enhance your career. Excellent front and back of house skills are key to the success of this position. This opportunity would be suitable for a strong Food and Beverage supervisor from a hotel background looking for the next step up.

Bar/Brasserie Supervisor Duties and Responsibilities

• Welcoming guests and ensuring a smooth and efficient service throughout, lunch and dinner.
• Prepare the bar/brasserie for service to the set department standard.
• Carry out all administration and cashing up duties.
• Recruiting, training, motivation and retaining staff.
• Working with your team to surpass high service standards making sure all guests enjoy their experience.
• Have a good knowledge of all menus and the wine list.
• Advise guest on their choices of the menu.
• Liaise with the kitchen team to ensure you are aware of any changes and new dishes on the menu.
• Work with the senior management team to ensure the pub thrives and continues to develop
• Assist guests in their wine choice and be happy to up sell on the right occasion
• Departmental administration duties including stock taking, buying and ordering.
