Assistant Restaurant Manager/Sommelier Job Description

In this role you will work closely with the Restaurant Manager ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the Two Rosette Restaurant. You must set the department standard. Working closely with your team to surpass all service standards set for service. You will also use your strong wine knowledge to advise guests on their choice.

Assistant Restaurant Manager/Sommelier Duties and Responsibilities

• Welcoming guests and ensuring a smooth and efficient service throughout breakfast, lunch and dinner.
• Prepare the restaurant for service to the set department standard.
• Working with other members of the management team at exclusive use events.
• Recruiting, training, motivation and retaining staff.
• Working with your team to surpass high service standards making sure all guests enjoy their experience.
• Have a good knowledge of all menus and the wine list.
• Advise guest on their choices of the menu.
• Liaise with the kitchen team to ensure you are aware of any changes and new dishes on the menu.
• Undertake duty management duties.
• Work with the senior management team to ensure the hotel thrives and continues to develop
• Assists guest in their wine choice and be happy to up sell on the right occasion
• Departmental administration duties including stock taking and ordering.

Assistant Restaurant Manager/Sommelier Personnel Specification

• Two Rosette experience.
• Excellent communication skill
